Fashion Friday

5pm cannot get here fast enough!  Duh, right?  I have date night with the hubs tonight and a list of stuff to get done around the house on Saturday.  Lots of spray paint will be used. Karles is in town for the weekend and on Sunday, Slash, Karles and I are getting together for lady brunch at my house. The Fella will be at Cowboy Stadium for the Cowboys/Broncos game cheering on his team…

Obviously he is not rooting for da boys. 

Also, at some point this weekend I will be watching my fav!!!

Happy Monday, my loverlies!

Another weekend has come and gone and taken my happiness with it…jk.  I am still happy but would just prefer that it was still Saturday.

You know those weekends where you have to spend your entire Saturday doing something you hate so therefore it was a wash and wasn’t a Saturday after all?  That was this Saturday for me. 

As I mentioned last week, my husband’s car bit the dust.  So we spent all day Saturday at a dealership negotiating the purchase of a new one.  And by all day, I mean all day.  7 hours in fact.  We had no idea it would take that long.  But we got him a reliable car that gets good gas mileage and at a price we were comfortable with…so really we couldn’t ask for more.

At least they had a TV so we could watch the Alabama/Texas A&M game while waiting on the financing people….. for 2 hours!!!!!  It was really packed and we were really far down the line, so there was a lot of sitting.

 

Theoretically, we were happy to see that the dealership was so packed and car sales doing so well.  That is an indicator of a recovering economy one would think.  That and the real-estate boom around our area, as I discussed at length, here.  Here’s hoping.

Everything was looking up Sunday morning because it was Phillip Lim day at Target!!!

 

Whoop whoop!

Did anyone else get out of bed at 7:30 Sunday morning to be there when the doors opened?  Or did y’all shop online at midnight?  I never do that, shop online at midnight, that is.  It stresses me out way too much. I know I miss out that way but too bad, so sad.

I didn’t get a lot, but here are the items I did get.

I am obsessed with the little tunic top.  The back, with the pleating, makes me weak in the knees.  It is very, VERY hard to find little tops like this that fit really tall women.  They always fall too short and the pleating/ruffles never hit at the right spot.  This top however, fits like a glove.

There were two pieces that the store didn’t have that I really wanted.

Football season is here!!

Are you ready for some football!!!!!!!?????

Well I’m not.

It got here too fast!  Where did my summer go????  Le sad.

But the Fella is BEYOND happy.  Especially since his team played in the season opener last night and kicked ass.

In order to get even more pumped up for the start of the NFL season, he forced me to play a pre-game round of beer pong in the backyard.

 

Forced, I tell you.

Then we watched the game while I also made this.

 

I had him help me hang it during halftime.

Think I may add another one beside it. It is part of the party décor for the baby shower tomorrow. 

I can’t believe it is tomorrow!  Freaking out.

I am so nervous about how it will all look.  I showed you my tassel garland yesterday…..

…. and I made a bunch more stuff last night.  Fingers crossed it all comes together.

Yesterday, I also mentioned that I found the ladder in the above picture on the side of the road while walking our dogs the other night.  I then forced my husband to go with me to get it and then made him ride in the back with it so he could hold the hatch down...and let me tell you, the Fella was thrilled.

 

Look at that adoring stare he is giving me. Or is it an abhorring glare?

 

I think we all know.

We have been using it to hang our towels on out by the pool.

 

And I lurve it. Free and practical. Even 'ol hubby has come around and admits it was a good find. The options are endless.  Here is some inspiration I found on the nets:
